Several of us learned to make Salvadoran bean and cheese pupusas for lunch at Borderlinks. Our chef Yesenia (from El Salvador) and lunch speaker Tania (from Guatemala) are members of Mariposas Sin Fronteras, a Tucson-based group that seeks to end the systemic violence and abuse of LGBTQ people held in prison and immigration detention. They told us about their experiences over lunch.
